I believe most people are inherently given to evil.

This does not mean that everyone is a bad person, or that most people are about to commit a crime at a moment's notice. There's much good in the world, and people that exemplify it.

I simply believe that anyone has the capacity to be pushed into evil. It's why so many Psy harm others when they lose their sanity.

It just means that you stay above all that. You value life, and the cost that it takes to value that life.

Actually, I'm still a bit emotionally keyed up because of other me. If that's a bad thing then I'll take a day or two of meditation and trying to reground myself in the basics before we get to the lesson. Which is going to be sorely needed soon with all the new materials coming into the house.

Don't rush things.

Meditation helps, but don't forget that your mind and body are one. Go take a long run, or practice martial arts. They help as well.

Even if Derek was a horrible tracker for a wolf.

He wasn't even that great in a fight. But he was learning. And not even hurting me with his strength as often.

[And now at least Judd won't think David's involved with Derek because of the whole past shifter conversation.]

That's why a good pack structure was so important in my world--to learn those skills.

I think things were different in his pack. We didn't spend a lot of our time together talking.

He mentioned "werewolf hunters" so our worlds were quite different.

Rahne had some issues with that too. But werewolves aren't very common back on my world. Most shifters aren't.

Our world was a triumverate, whether the other races saw it or not.

It would be nice. There's only one person I even regularly touch without the thing.

Call me. I can raise a shield around you. I can remain a discreet distance away where your privacy is intact and your company would be none the wiser.

I don't know. I mean, we know I can touch you without an issue, but that doesn't mean that you can overwhelm my powers while I try and touch others.

The only reason you can touch me is because of the shield I place around your mind. It's the end goal that we're aiming for with your shield work.

It isn't simply a matter of you being able to touch me because I'm Psy.

I presumed it was because of your own shields, protecting yourself from other people with telepathy.

That said, even with keeping my shields up to protect myself from psychometry, those same shields haven't prevented the other half of my powers.

That does play a part. But that only means I have to raise two shields instead of one.
