I was asking from an inter species perspective. The concern that a human or psy might find their Changeling partner, well, changing while growing intimate. But I realize that is an awkward question.
In my case, Brenna has to worry about me and my abilities more than vice versa, though occasionally she unconsciously semi-shifts her hands into claws.
["Why should she do it less often?" is a thought Judd rightfully keeps to himself.]
Unconscious semi-shifting stems from heightened emotions. Typically anger, but pleasure can sometimes do it as well. It's a matter of them staying aware and shifting back the moment they feel their claws coming out.
[Sometimes a man doesn't want to have his throat torn out. Or to drag himself back to his best friend and need that bad of healing. Again.]

From what I've seen, he's a terrible tracker, but has a good sense of control when it comes to shifting. Granted, I haven't seen it on more than one occasion.
Also, he seems like a nice enough man. You could do worse in a partner to share intimate skin privileges with.
